‘That the scene of the final battle of Na Fianna, and the burial site of Cú Chulainn’s remains is being dug up to facilitate a reroutable motorway is something which reflects badly on our respect for our origins.’

  1. Im an Irish national with Republian aspirations brought up in Scotland learning what I can about my heritage. I am finding it a harrowing experience every day I come across more sickening events which have happened but this here which I obviously dont know much about is an absolute disgrace! How can whomsoever is in charge get away with things of this nature and it is apparent to me that this kind of thing happens quite a lot its almost as if there are somekind of group behind the scenes trying to bury our heritage take for example where some of William Wallaces remains are said to be buried in Glasgow nothing there zero! To reiterate whomsoever gave the go ahead for that must at the very least be indifferent to his countrys heritage or perhaps it is one of these people - and ive seen a few of them in Scotland as well who would rather be loyal to a foreign crown than have their own say. And on an end note I wasnt taught at school about the Glencoe Massacre were any of these people I see on TV in Ireland and every week in Scotland waving St Georges Crosses a symbol of Racism and hate mad aware of such events either. Yet I hazard a guess that they wouldnt care much anyroad! God save Ireland, and may he bless those with the end conclusion of there never-ending thought pattern that they may realise that along with israel northern ireland is an imaginary place!
