Tourism chief ‘considers legal action’ over inaccurate weather forecasts

…and if he can do this, I’m also for going after my ma as she will give me a great weather forecast at night on the phone and when I get up in the morning, it’s all shite :p

The Chairman of North West Tourism, Sean McEniff, said today he is considering taking legal action against Met Éireann over what he claimed to be inaccurate weather forecasts.

Mr McEniff claimed that a conference in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, was cancelled as a result of Met Éireann predicting snow storms and icy conditions for the region.

He said a second conference was also affected, while many people who had booked hotel rooms cancelled their reservations.
