Five arrests linked to loyalists

The arrests of five men in the Carrickfergus area is being linked to a loyalist gang.
The men were arrested by police on Monday morning in connection with a police investigation into organised crime in the area.
The men were taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
There is a history of tension between loyalists in Carrickfergus
Two years ago, tensions were high in Carrickfergus as rival loyalist gangs clashed. The violence culminated in a suspected gun attack.
In 2007, a court was told that death threats had been made against more than 90 people caught up in a loyalist feud in the Carrick area.
